This client in Chelmsford Massachusetts had a multi family home that he was getting the Maximum MassSave rebates and Heat Loan 7 year 0% financing to do all of these energy saving upgrades. Including but not part of our job, he was getting the attic spray foam insulated to keep the heat in in the winter and the heat gain out during the summer. We had to remove a 25 year old gas furnace. And two old tank type water heaters. We furnished and installed two new 95% efficient Navien tankless water heaters. A new Aqua-Pure 904 series whole house water filtration system to protect the plumbing system from dirt, rust, sediment, prevent scaling and corrosion and improve taste and remove odors from the water. The furnace was replaced with a York Affinity 97.5% efficient gas furnace paired with a high efficient Ecoer heat pump system for heating and cooling the home. This unit has a integrated controller in the outdoor heat pump that is programmed to switch from heat pump mode when the outdoor temperature is below 30ºF to the gas burner on the York Affinity furnace. This is per the MassSave requirements to save the maximum amount of energy and put the least amount of green house gasses into the atmosphere.
