Today we answered a service call from our client in Concord Massachusetts. She said that she had water around her basement furnace and Air Conditioning unit. When we arrived we removed the door panels of the Carrier gas furnace. No water was found inside the furnace. We then noticed that the 3/4” condensation drain line that removes the condensation from the unit was clogged. These high efficient systems produce condensation in the air conditioning mode while it is cooling the house and removing humidity. But they also create condensation in the heating mode as well. The lower drain line collects and drains away the condensation from the secondary heat exchanger. This helps the units use up all of there heat energy into the living space rather then up the chimney. That is how todays modern gas heating equipment achieve such high efficiency rates like the York Affinity furnaces we install are as high as 98% efficient. If you’re in the Chelmsford MA / Concord MA / greater Lowell MA area and would like a new high efficient system installed. Please contact us at www.dibaccoplumbing.com
Heat Pump Efficiency vs Outside Temperature
Exploring Heat Pump Efficiency vs Outside Temperature When considering the efficiency of a heat pump, one crucial factor that comes into play is the impact of outside temperature on its performance. The relationship between outside temperature and heat pump efficiency is a critical aspect that directly influences the heating and cooling capabilities of these systems.
